Storm Football announces a partnership with Elite Athlete and Kinetic Excellence!

This partnership between our football organization and both Elite Athlete and Kinetic Excellence is unprecedented. The joining of our three organizations will allow the athlete’s of Storm football the first hand opportunity to combine their football playing experience with first hand football specific position training for better recruiting options. The speed and agility training of Elite Athlete and the physical strength and explosion development of Kinetic Excellence will ensure athletic development at a more complete level.

With Elite Athlete our athletes will have the opportunity to be trained by top quality coaches and get recruited by Universities in Canada and the United States of America.  As another avenue of CIS recruitment the players will have his stats transferred to the Elite Athlete database where their progression over multiple years can be reviewed by thousands of Coaches and recruiting staff.   It is an extraordinary effort, blending the aspirations of our athletes and university coaching staffs, for potential scholarship opportunities.

With Kinetic Excellence our athletes will have the opportunity to experience an itinerary stacked full of serious core training.  In the weight room we develop maximum strength and power.  In the gymnasiums and on the field they will work on Plyometric strength and explosiveness as well as agility and mobility.

Here at Storm Football, we don’t just talk about developing an athletic program but also the collaboration of training, development and the pursuit of a higher education. It’s part of the way our program help families, football and education come altogether.  This project is just one more example of the ways our organization works effectively to share expertise, leverage resources and collaborate on innovative programs.

Storm players to Represent Canada

The Storm Football Organization is happy to announce that six members of the Senior Varsity Football Team from last year will be represented on the Junior Team Canada roster for the 2008 Dominican Republic/Puerto Rico tour. This year's team is made up of 45 proven and up-and-coming athletes, and was selected after an intense two-day Selection Camp held in November at the Aurora Dome in Aurora, Ontario. Six athletes were chosen from the 2008 Storm Football Teams.

Aubrey Ellis, Luc Pouliot, Grant Sommerville, Jake Stubbs and Corey Rideout look to be key factors in Team Canada’s desire to return home with a win.  Head Coach Quincy Wocker, talked about each of thee athletes and what this experience will do for them.

“I expect Aubrey to bring a maturity to the backfield returning from his first year at University, but along with his maturity I want to see his hunger and desire to run the ball.  After a Rookie season at Mount Allison where he didn’t carry the ball as much as he is used too, Aubrey should come in with a chip on his shoulder ready to prove to everyone that he was under utilized.”

"Luc Pouliot can use the experience of this trip to improve his skills at the slot receiver position.  I’m looking for him to become more familiar with his route running, recognition of defenses and physical play coming into the summer season."

”Grant Sommerville is going to be good addition to both the Senior team and the Team Canada.  He has a quiet sense about him but leads by example.  You can be assured that over the next few years he will become solid football player.”

”We feel that Jake Stubbs and Corey Rideout are going to make substantial contributions on the field on this trip.  These are two strong and aggressive players who have the ability to dominate at their respective positions.  We expect Jake to be a leader at line which when he is on the field he will make a definite impression.  As for Corey, I expect this young player to utilize his speed off the corner on the pass rush and to chase down the play from the backside.”
